Skaidi’s story

What kind of company would you personally want to work for?

This is the question around which the origin story of Skaidi is built.

Four IT professionals with long careers in the industry kept returning to this question during shared runs and other sports activities. At the heart of their reflections was not the search for a new business idea with market demand, but the question of what kind of workplace would be so good that it could become a job for life.

Each of the four professionals had spent many years in working life, accumulating plenty of insight into what works well — and what doesn’t — in the IT industry and consulting business. Ultimately, two guiding principles emerged: helping one another succeed and building long‑lasting customer relationships.

Instead of focusing solely on securing enough client work for themselves, the company’s experts would also make sure their colleagues had work. Shared success would be rewarded not only through a great, thriving workplace but also through ownership, allowing the profits of the business to be distributed among the whole team

Customer relationships would be built to be as long‑term and sustainable as possible. This way, we would truly get to know one another, making collaboration smoother and more meaningful for both the customer and the expert. The work would also feel more impactful, as you can see the results in the customer’s system development over time.

In IT consulting, many things ultimately come down to the individual expertise and experience of the specialists — but when done right, the whole should be more than the sum of its parts. Instead of selling individual CVs or acting merely as subcontractors, the new company would focus on delivering joint, independent projects and providing continuous support services for customers. With Skaidi, the customer gets a committed and motivated expert or team at their disposal.

These reflections eventually turned into reality during a cabin trip spent doing tree‑cutting work. At the end of the day, a serious question was asked: “Shall we start a company?” The answer was: “Let’s do it.”

Skaidi was officially founded on May 10, 2023, and business operations began in July 2023.
